What is the Introductory Latin Course about?
In this beginners course, students will learn
- How to read and write basic Latin sentences
- How to use etymology to improve their English reading and writing
- How to harness their knowledge of Latin for academic sucess
I have created this taster class to guide students personally from the very beginning, so that they can experience a first, positive encounter with a language that has opened academic doors for centuries.
Through the study of Latin, participants will:
How does self-paced learning work?
After a parent or carer purchases the course, they get direct access to videos, quizzes and resources to explore Latin. There is a comment section under every activity, and students can ask their questions or share their ideas with me there.
This course is not for you if
- Your student has already completed Common Entrance exams or started Latin as part of their GCSEs in Year 10
- You are only looking for grammar tables
- You want to practise only through translation drills
This course is for you if
- You want to see how Latin can propel your child's academic journey
- Your student loves all things ancient, from Percy Jackson to Latin spells!
- You want to have a qualified teacher at hand to guide you and answer your questions
Here is what happens when you enrol
- You get access to all materials and have a whole year to complete the course; although I doubt you will want to wait that long!
